Must do's:

  1. The Key Summit is a perfect short walk on the way to Milford Sound. On a clear day you can see into the Hollyford, Eglinton and Greenstone Valleys.
  2. Head down to the Ranch in Te Anau on Thursday's for Jam night. Great way to meet Fiordlands local musical talent.
  3. Miles Pies in Te Anau is open again. It's where all of the locals go for great pies....everyone needs to experience one.

The best kept secrets:

  1. Pop down to the Wildlife Centre in Te Anau and see our beautiful baby Blue Ducklings
  2. Frisbee golf, ice skating, skate park, tennis, lawn bowls, playgrounds, walks and bike trails. Just some of the things to do in the Queentown Gardens.
  3. Natures elements create a perfect natural canvas for local artists in Central Otago. Discover the art at Hullabaloo Art Space, Old Cromwell Town.

Great food & wine:

  1. The best gourmet pies in the Southern Lakes District are made fresh daily at the Arrowtown Bakery! Flavours you could only imagine!
