  3. Ease your muscles by sinking into the naturally heated waters at Morere while you watch a gentle breeze stir the nikau palms overhead. 60 kms from Gisborne.

The best kept secrets:

  1. Walk the historic Tologa Bay Wharf & fish or take photos. 660 metres long, this wharf on Gisborne's beautiful East Cape, is the longest in NZ.
  2. Tucked in the hills behind Gisborne is the idyllic Hackfalls Arboretum is one of the largest private collections of oaks, poplars & maples in NZ.
  3. See Pania of the Reef, a young Maori maiden separated from her true love by the sea-people. Her legend lives on in a bronze statue on Marine Parade, Napier.
