  1. The Whanganui Regional Museum has an excellent collection of Maori treasures and art (taonga) created by the ancestors of Whanganui River Maori.
  2. Windfarm and Gorge Tour, spectacular scenery, local cafe and authentic rural towns. Full commentary - Maori legends and history
  3. You can enjoy the thrill and excitement of one of NZ's most iconic river trips by taking an awesome jet boating tour in the Manawatu Gorge.
