- Enjoy some excellent local artist's talent while sipping your coffee at Oamau's The Roost and Steam Cafes
- You can not go through Oamaru with out having a stone grill from the Galleon Restaurant. They are so mouth watering and so affordable!
- St Clair outdoor hot salt water pool at St Clair is open for the summer season. Its wonderful location on the beach makes it a pleasurable swimming experience.

- The Harbourside Bakery in Victorian Oamaru has 2-for-1 loaves of great bread like ciabatta & olive bread on Tues & 2-for-1 huge crispy pastry pies on Thurs.
- You must try our award winning locally brewed beers at the Invercargill Brewery! Stop in for a tour & taste test or buy from their own bottle shop.
- Go try the Blue cod with their own special tartare sauce at Fleurs Restaurant in Moeraki. Only a 30 minute drive from Oamaru. Stop at the boulders on the way.
